Ms. Stryker is a teacher and soloist in the local area. She taught in the Jeannette City School District from 1980-1996 and currently serves as the middle school choral director. She is a member of the Westmoreland County Music Educators and has been a Host director for Choral Festivals as well as a Guest director for the Elementary Choral Festival. As a choral artist she has been a member of the Westmoreland Choral Society, Saint Vincent Camerata and the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh. Her experience in Sacred Music has been in the Presbyterian Church of Greensburg and the Shadyside Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh where she has served as Soprano Soloist in each position. She also served as cantor at the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral of Greensburg, St. Paul's in Butler and St. Regis in Trafford. She has appeared as Soprano soloist for the St. John and St. Matthew Passion by Bach, German Requiem by Brahms, Creation, Lord Nelson Mass and Mass in Time of War by Haydn, Gloria by Poulenc, Elijah and St. Paul by Mendelssohn, Coronation Mass by Mozart with the Shadyside Chancel Choir. She appeared with the Johnstown Symphony in Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 and Handel's Messiah. She served as soprano cover for Robert Page festival singers for the D'vorak Stabat Mater and Requiem by Verdi which she did perform in Barcelona, Spain on July 4, 2004. Ms. Stryker is a graduate of Penn-Trafford High School. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Education from ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ College and a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Her vocal teachers and coaches include Sr. Helen Muha, Fr. Paul Rubadue, Joanne Luchsinger, Katerina Musetti, John Walker and Robert Page.
