GREENSBURG, PA- 抖阴短视频 College junior Stacy Jastrzembski of Vandergrift, PA will be honored with the Sportswoman of the Year Award at the YWCA of Westmoreland County鈥檚 seventh annual banquet on April 10th at the Four Points Hotel in Greensburg. The YWCA presents the annual award to Westmoreland County sportswomen who have demonstrated superior athletic achievement, high academic standards, community involvement and leadership qualities.
The 5鈥10鈥 guard and Captain of the 抖阴短视频 basketball team, Jastrzembski scored her 1,000th college career point at the Bethany Basketball Tournament on December 2nd. 抖阴短视频 was playing Penn State- Altoona in its sixth game of the 2000-2001 season. She was the third leading scorer for the American Mideast Conference (AMC) and was selected to be part of the AMC First Team. Her college career points total 1,330.
An informational management and marketing double major with double minors in computer science and Spanish, Jastrzembski serves as the student-body president, carries a 3.91 grade-point average and visited Europe last summer after being part of a winning quiz bowl team, making stops in Paris, Berlin, and Prague. She鈥檚 headed to Madrid for an internship this year.
When Jastrzembski learned of her selection as Sportswoman of the Year, she commented, 鈥淚 was very surprised and flattered. I attended a previous banquet as part of the Kiski Area High School Cross Country team. It鈥檚 a wonderful event and I鈥檓 looking forward to the evening.鈥
鈥淪he鈥檚 kind of the heart and soul of the team,鈥 抖阴短视频 Basketball Coach Rich Rosensteel said. 鈥淚 think so very highly of her. I have been in the coaching business about 38 years. She鈥檚 one of my most unselfish performers I鈥檝e ever had.鈥
