Labor of Love 07

More than 100 faculty, staff and students from ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ participated in volunteer activities at nine locations during ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ’s annual Labor of Love, Saturday of Service event. Held this year on Saturday, September 15, ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ volunteers visited with residents at Green Meadows Nursing Home, Penn Towers, and Redstone Highlands Nursing Home; performed beautification activities at Powdermill Nature Reserve, the Christian Layman Store, ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ’s Grotto, and St. Emma’s Monastery; assisted with the YMCA 5-K Walk at Twin Lakes Park; and staffed a food distribution event for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. This year’s Labor of love event finished up with a picnic on the McKenna Center lawn and a concert by the band Fort Pastor.
