Ƶ Student Takes Second Place in Research Competition.

Lauren Miller presented her research “Islam in Spain: Heritage, Immigration, Discrimination” before a panel of judges at the Consortium for Educational Resources on Islamic Studies research symposium titled “Islam in the World: Politics, People, and Places” on March 28 at Duquesne University. For her research and presentation, Lauren took second place in the “Issues of Religion and Culture” section of the competition. Lauren was encouraged to submit her work by Debra Fraszer-McMahon, Ph.D., assistant professor of Spanish.
