Ƶ Community Celebrates Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton at “Lunch with Liz” March 23

Ƶ University will host its annual “Lunch with Liz” program, celebrating the life and history of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, and alumni are invited to watch online through a livestream.

Lunch with Liz helps the Ƶ community become familiar with Elizabeth Ann Seton and aware of how her spirit continues to direct and enliven the life of the Sisters of Charity and Ƶ University. This year’s focus is on Elizabeth Ann Seton’s French Connection in honor of the 400th Anniversary of the Vincentian Foundation.

The event will be held on Thursday, March 23 from 11:10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Cecilian Hall on campus. A livestream of the event will be broadcast via the Ƶ University page and on starting at 11:15 a.m.

During the Lunch with Liz program, Ƶ students, alumni and members of the Sisters of Charity will share the story of Elizabeth Ann Seton, those who influenced her, and how she continues to influence people today.

As 2017 marks the 400th Anniversary of the Vincentian Foundation, the event will explore Elizabeth Ann Seton’s connection to St. Vincent de Paul and St. Louise de Marillac.

The event will include a theatrical presentation with students portraying St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, St. Vincent de Paul and St. Louise de Marillac, which explores how the 17th century founders of the Vincentian Charism influenced Mother Seton and her founding of the Sisters of Charity.

Members of the Sisters of Charity of Ƶ will be recognized during the program, while alumni will share, via video, the ways in which service is a part of their life experience.
