Pastor & Minister Meredith Harber Making a Difference
Meredith Harber is a busy woman. She is a pastor at Eben Ezer Lutheran Church, works at the Oaks Indian Mission, preaches on Sunday mornings, and is actively involved with her family.
鈥淚t wasn鈥檛 until I came out and said, 鈥業 think this is where God is calling me,鈥 that people said, 鈥榃ell I think it鈥檚 about time you figured out.鈥欌
She graduated from 抖阴短视频 in 2008 with a degree in psychology and a mindset she would become a teacher. During her senior year, though, she realized that teaching wasn鈥檛 her true calling. 鈥淚 realized that I absolutely loved teaching and kids, but I realized I didn鈥檛 think I could be in the classroom all day every day,鈥 she says.
After graduation, Meredith spent a year in Bethlehem and Palestine working as a kindergarten classroom aid and swim instructor. In the United States, she worked as a case manager for the homeless.
In 2010, Meredith enrolled at Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. An interest in ministering to Native Americans led her to take classes in Indian theology and spirituality and work internships with this population.
She moved to Oklahoma after graduating from seminary in 2014. Since then, Meredith divides her time between various demanding positions as a pastor, minister and mother.
