抖阴短视频 Athletic Teams Earn Top Team GPA Awards in PSAC for 2017-18

Four 抖阴短视频 University athletic teams earned the Top Team GPA Awards from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference for their academic achievements in the 2017-18 academic year, PSAC Commissioner Steve Murray announced today.

抖阴短视频鈥檚 baseball, women鈥檚 cross country, women鈥檚 soccer and women鈥檚 track and field teams received the Top Team GPA Award for their respective sports.

In addition, Griffin athletes had the second highest overall GPA in the conference for 2017-18 with a 3.374 GPA. 抖阴短视频 student-athletes have had the highest or second highest GPA in the conference in all five years the university has competed in the PSAC.

"On behalf of the entire 抖阴短视频 community, I extend my congratulations to our student-athletes who continue to demonstrate a commitment to success both in the classroom and on the playing field,鈥 said Mary C. Finger, Ed.D., 抖阴短视频 president.

鈥淚 am proud of the dedication 抖阴短视频鈥檚 student-athletes have shown year-after-year toward achieving at the highest levels in their education and in their athletic pursuits,鈥 said Executive Director for Athletic Programs Chris Snyder. 鈥淚 join with our coaches in congratulating these four teams and all of our student-athletes on their outstanding accomplishments.鈥

The four 抖阴短视频 athletic teams received the Top Team GPA Award from the PSAC for reaching the highest GPA among their sports across the conference, which includes 18 public and private institutions in Pennsylvania.

The awards, released at the conclusion of the academic year, honor the teams with the top cumulative team grade point average in each of the sponsored sports within the PSAC. The league hosts 23 championships, however, for the award purposes, indoor and outdoor track and field are counted as a single sport.听

The 抖阴短视频 teams with the highest GPA among their peers include: women鈥檚 cross country (3.792); women鈥檚 soccer (3.665); women鈥檚 track and field (3.555); and baseball (3.405).

The volleyball (3.678), women鈥檚 golf (3.641) and women鈥檚 basketball (3.559) teams all finished second.
