Junior Jessie Belding loves being a hospitality and tourism major. 

“My whole life, I’ve been really into event planning and just the resources that come together to put on an event for people to enjoy,” she says.

In October 2018, the Laurel Highlands Visitors Bureau honored Jessie at their Annual Dinner.

The Bureau featured a of Jessie at the event, where she talked about her involvement at ��������Ƶ and in the Laurel Highlands region. Jessie also received a scholarship from the Bureau.

“Representing ��������Ƶ was a lot of fun,” Jessie says. “I was very proud to be there.”

Jessie is the president of the Volleyball Club, head resident assistant and member of the Hospitality Club. She also completed a marketing internship with Thistlethwaite Vineyards in the summer of 2018.
