From the time she was a child, Victoria Rothrauff knew she wanted to pursue a career in dentistry. She felt inspired by the welcoming environment created by her own dentist, Matthew Price DDS. His impact on Victoria led her to start working at his office, Dentistry for Kids. The experience she gained working in a dentist鈥檚 office has only fueled her passion for a career in dentistry.聽
Victoria enrolled at 抖阴短视频 because it allowed her to pursue her intended major 鈥 through the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine鈥檚 (LECOM) Dental Medicine Partnership Program 鈥 and play at the same time.聽
Victoria felt drawn to 抖阴短视频鈥檚 affiliation with LECOM and its Early Acceptance Program. The Early Acceptance Program offers qualified students a reserved letter of acceptance to one of LECOM鈥檚 College of Medicine schools with the completion of an undergraduate degree.
鈥淚t is super helpful to be in an environment where my teammates and best friends are working hard all the time; it pushes me to want to as well."聽
鈥溾嬧婽hroughout my undergraduate degree, I felt it would be important to stay informed about my graduate program," Victoria said.聽 "I get this information as an Early Acceptance Program student.鈥澛
After her time at 抖阴短视频, Victoria plans to further her education at the LECOM School of Dental Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. There, she will pursue a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree and specialize in patient care in the dental field.聽
鈥淚 was able to tour LECOM鈥檚 Bradenton campus this summer,鈥 Victoria said. 鈥淭hat only intensified my excitement for what's to come.鈥澛
For right now, however, she's still enjoying her time at 抖阴短视频.
鈥淥ne of the best parts of 抖阴短视频 is that I am surrounded by student-athletes with majors that are also difficult,鈥 Victoria said. 鈥淚t is super helpful to be in an environment where my teammates and best friends are working hard all the time; it pushes me to want to as well. I think being a student-athlete has only helped me by getting me up early each day, giving structure to my days, and allowing me to be active and competitive outside the classroom."
