Griffins Soar to New Heights on the National Stage

This summer has seen several Griffins rise to new heights and be recognized on the national stage. Samuel Hartman '22 competed in the U.S. Olympic Trials, Aidan Layton '24 was selected in the Major League Baseball draft, Jared Kollar '21 was promoted to Triple-A with the San Diego Padres, and football's defensive coordinator Kevin May talks about his game-changing new scheme in an ESPN article.
  • Ƶ alum Samuel Hartman '22 advanced to the semi-finals in the 400m hurdles at the U.S. Olympic Trials, placing 14th overall. Hartman was a highly competitive member of the Griffins track & field team during his time on the Hill, setting school records, leading the PSAC and competing nationally at NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships.

  • Recent graduate Aidan Layton '24 was selected No. 496 overall of the Major League Baseball draft by the Oakland Athletics. The right-handed pitcher was the first pick in the 17th round.

  • Jared Kollar '21, who signed with the San Diego Padres in 2022, was promoted to Triple-A in July. Read more about Jared in this .
