¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Performance Arts Center

The Arts at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ University

¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ students involved in music, theatre, art and dance bring Greensburg to life, with help from the community members of all ages who learn and perform through the Community Arts Program. ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ University is al All-Steinway School

Theatre, art, dance and music majors have multiple opportunities to perform and exhibit while learning their craft, and students of all majors are welcome to create, dance, sing or make music through active participation in ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ performances and exhibitions. Students can also attend all visual and performing arts events for free, or at a significantly reduced cost.

Performances and exhibits are open to the public.

Two world-class performing venues (the Ryan Theatre and Reichgut Concert Hall) make the Performing Arts Center one of the premier places to enjoy the arts in Greensburg. The "PAC" (as it is referred to on The Hill), is a place you'll want to experience again and again.  The Performing Arts Center is located at 100 Harrison Ave, Greensburg, Pa. 15601

Arts Center

Arts CenterArt exhibits and some dance performances - along with classes, workshops and special events - are hosted at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ's award-winning Arts Center. The ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Arts Center is located at 205 West Otterman Street, Greensburg, Pa. 15601, just one block from the Performing Arts Center in downtown Greensburg's historic arts corridor.

Harlan & Harris Galleries

¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ's Harlan Gallery and Jodee Harris Gallery, located in the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Arts Center, are professional venues that offer a variety of exhibitions by renowned artists in addition to exhibiting student work. This environment for experiencing art, examining issues and ideas, and engaging a diverse audience supports both the university and the larger regional community. The galleries host free, public artist talks and lectures, symposia and related events in conjunction with many exhibits. Parking for Both Centers

Available on-street and in nearby surface lots and garages in downtown Greensburg (including the Bell Parking Garage across the street from the Performing Arts Center). More information on parking in Greensburg can be found at . ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ students can also ride the University shuttle from the Hill to either Center.

 

Box Office & Ticket Information

PLEASE NOTE: If your card is declined, please do not re-enter it unless you made an error on the card number, expiration date, or CVV. Then, please attempt only once more. Your credit card will show multiple pending transactions for that amount that reduces your available balance.

Box Office Hours:

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays 11 am - 2 pm
  • Fridays 2 pm - 6 pm
  • 2 hours before a performance until 30 minutes after curtain

Theatre & Dance Program Performances

Tickets can be purchased through ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ's Box Office , by phone or by mail. Ticket options include:

  • Single admission, all ages, all performances - $15
  • ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ faculty & staff - $9 single admission
    • ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ students (with valid SHU Student ID, single admission) - $5
    • Non-¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ students (with valid high school or University ID) - $10
    • Senior Citizens 65+ - $10
  • Groups (10 or more) - $10 ea.

Additional Ticket Fees:

  • Print-at-Home: FREE
  • Pick up at Will Call: $1.50
  • Mailed in Advance: $2

Music, Community Arts, Harlan & Harris Galleries Performances & Exhibitions

¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Music and Community Arts Program performances, as well as Harlan and Harris Gallery exhibits and events, are free and open to the public except where noted. Contact the Box Office for information on ticketed events.

Music Department Concert Ticket Fees: (includes Westmoreland Symphonic Winds, Sinfonia Orchestra, Choral, and Commercial Music Ensemble Concerts)

  • SHU Faculty, Staff & Students (with ID) - Free
  • Adults - $7
  • Senior Adults - $5
  • Non-SHU Students (with ID) - $5

Refund Policy

All sales are final; ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ University Performing Arts Center does not provide refunds for previously purchased tickets except under certain circumstances as described below. If you know 24 hours in advance of an event that you can no longer attend the event you’ve purchased tickets to, you may call the Box Office at 724-552-2929 to see if exchanges are available for that specific event.

For People with Vision Loss

LARGE PRINT PROGRAMS - Available at the Box Office

AUDIO DESCRIPTION - Available at the Box Office at designated performances 

During an Audio Described performance, patrons with vision loss are provided commentary and narration which guides the listener through the show with descriptions of scenes, settings, costumes, etc. in between dialogue or songs. Audio description begins with show notes 20 minutes prior to the start of the performance. This service is made possible by the generous support of Greater Pittsburgh Arts Alliance and City Theatre.

NOTE: Patrons will be required to provide their Driver's License or other Form of Identification in order to use electronic accessibility devices. The ID will be returned when the device is returned to the Box Office.

For People with Hearing Loss

Relaxed Performances (Sensory Friendly)

Available at designated performances

A Relaxed Performance is an inclusive theatrical experience designed to be welcoming to individuals with neurodiverse needs and those attending with them. Along with offering a few technical modifications and support materials, this supportive environment provides an opportunity to attend live theatre in a comfortable setting. As the name suggests, these performances are less formal and more supportive of sensory, communication, movement and learning needs. At no time will anyone be asked to leave the performance due to sound, movement or behaviors related to differing cognitive/developmental abilities. This will be a judgement-free environment.
