Understanding Your Rights under ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ University’s Civil Rights Policy Prohibiting Discrimination, Harassment, Sexual Misconduct and Related Retaliation

The values of quality of opportunity, human dignity, and cultural diversity are central to ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ University' mission and identity. In accordance with Title IX and other civil rights laws, ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex and/or any protected category in regards to access and treatment in any education program or activity.  For more information regarding prohibited conduct, resources, and grievance procedures, please refer to ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ's or contact the Title IX and Civil Rights Coordinator at titleixcoordinator@setonhill.edu.

¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ will respond promptly and appropriately to any form of alleged prohibited conduct under its , and will take steps to prevent recurrence and to remedy its effects.

Meeting with the Title IX and Civil Rights Coordinator does not require an individual to pursue a complaint. Those who have experienced prohibited conduct have the right to an advisor of choice, as outlined in the Policy.

The Title IX and Civil Rights Coordinator, investigators, decisionmakers and informal resolution facilitators are trained on the definition of sex-based harassment, issues related to sexual misconduct (including, but not limited to, dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking) the scope of ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ’s education program or activity, how to conduct an investigation and hearing process that protects the safety of those impacted and promotes accountability, informal resolutions, hearings and appeals, and how to serve impartially.
