Why Earn a Degree in Sacred Music from ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ University?
As a student in the Sacred Music (B.M.) Program at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ, you will complete the liberal arts and music core curriculums along with your Sacred Music courses. You'll be prepared to move forward into your career after graduation through:
- Courses in theology, liturgy, hymnology, organ literature and pedagogy (the teaching of music), service playing and improvisation.
- A yearly series of workshops, recitals and master classes.
- Study of voice, piano and organ as well as participation in various ensembles (including a handbell component).
- Access to professional performance and and practice spaces in our state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center.
¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ also offers Certificates in Sacred Music:
- Sacred Music Certificate
- Sacred Music Postbaccalaureate Certificate (for students who have already earned a bachelor's degree)
Audition
An audition is required to be admitted into ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Music Programs in addition to being accepted to the university. Click here for more information on the audition process and requirements.
Ensembles
A variety of large and specialized ensembles are available for both music and non-music majors at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ University. All music majors participate in ensembles as a part of the major.
